This past weekend we went to Utah for a family baby shower. It was great to see some family we haven't seen for a few months. Janel was especially excited to see her two cousins that are her age, Laura and Jen. We also got some great gifts that were well needed.
After the baby shower the family got together at Grandma and Grandpa Hale's home and gave a helping hand in the yard. Despite Grandpa's recent heart surgery he to went to work in their garden.
We were a bit worried about driving with Brooklynn because in the past she did not like her car seat. This time though we had a trick up our sleeves. Brooklynn loves to listen to a shower so we recorded our shower and put it on a CD... now she loves her car seat. This gives a some hope for our drive out to michigan.
While we around Janel's family we had a lot of people say that Brooklynn looks like me so I thought I put a picture of us both to see what you think.

Yep. Spitting image of Derek! Except with Janel's nose. I can't wait to see that girl...some day!

She definitely looks like you Derek.It's the mouth :). Hopefully you don't have to listen to a shower all the way to Michigan, but if it works, it works haha.
